Eco – Ecology is the interdisciplinary scientific study of the distribution and abundance of organisms and their interactions with their environment.
Land - Terrestrial ecoregion, an ecoregion based on soil instead of water.
Arc – Architecture is the activity of designing any kind of system.
Based in Sonoma, California our goal is to design, build and maintain compelling landscapes while also restoring and enhancing the native ecology of each site we work on.
EcoLandArc founder Mundo Murguia was born and raised in the Mountains of Tehachapi, CA. He has worked in the landscape trades for 18+ years at all levels of the profession. He began as a maintenance worker for Tehachapi Valley Parks and Recreation District when he was 16.
In 2006 he completed a Master of Landscape Architecture from California Polytechnic State University at Pomona where he received instruction from some of the top professors in landscape architecture and design including Joan Woodward, Kyle Brown, Ken McCowan and Jane Wolff.
In 2007 he gained certification as an arborist from the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA WE-7990A).
